In the 1990s I created a set of 4 pen-and-ink Christmas card designs, using my beautiful Doberman Jake as a model. I printed them on card stock and hand-painted them, to send as my personal Holiday cards, and to sell. This one, "Peace On Earth" was always a favorite. So I decided to create an original colored-pencil version of it. I’ll be sharing the “in progress” pictures with you this week. And the finished artwork… that you can share as a Holiday greeting.
This is one of the cards, printed on blue card stock and hand-painted with watercolor, and iridescent glitter paint on the lettering. The dove was colored in with white Prismacolor pencil. I sold these at my vendor booth at the Doberman Pinscher Club of America (DPCA Nationals) in the 1990's.
