I have been a professional Colored Pencil artist for more than 40 years.​

I love to color!

Coloring is how I make my living!

 

From the beginning I've had a passion for portraying figures, both human and animal. The first 20 years of my career I sold my work in galleries. That taught me to create work with general appeal: artwork that people want to take home and hang on their walls.

 

After my beloved Doberman Jake saved my life, I began drawing Dobermans. That's why you see so many Dobermans in my art – a breed I love. I am now recognized as the premier Doberman artist in the U.S.

 

As I became more well known for purebred dogs, I added other breeds. I also love to portray cats and horses. Other themes that you often see in my art are roses, flower gardens, and water.

My focus now is portraits of humans and animals. (Check out the rest of my website for portraits.)

 

Throughout all of it I have loved creating line-work... And then "coloring in the lines"!
