Doberman Puppies Coloring Book
A hard-copy Coloring Book full of cute and charming puppies for children and adults.
The playful images and their captions teach children about puppies and what a puppy needs to be happy, healthy, and well-behaved. Adults will enjoy coloring these sweet and beautiful designs, each one a work of art in itself, suitable for framing.
There are 24 images to color, from original artwork by award-winning artist Kevin Roeckl. Pages are printed on both sides (no blank pages), on heavy paper. Includes a “bookplate” inside the front cover with a space for the Coloring Book owner’s name. The full-color covers, front and back, feature an original painting by Kevin.
The Story Behind the Art
In 1993 Ann Lanier, publisher of the popular “Doberman Quarterly” magazine, ran a Doberman puppy photo contest. After the winners were chosen Ann was left with dozens of cute puppy photos. I was a rising artistic star in the Doberman world at that time, so Ann hired me to create artwork for a Doberman Puppies Coloring Book inspired by those photos. I was given freedom to create whatever I wanted. I designed it to be educational for children about puppies and how to care for them. Sadly, Ann passed away not long after that. The Doberman Quarterly changed hands, then was shut down a few years later. No more was seen of the Doberman Puppies Coloring Books for many years. Until the well known show-dog handler and Doberman historian Marj Brooks discovered several boxes of the coloring books in a storage warehouse. I have teamed up with Marj to bring these charming coloring books back to the public. Only a limited number of them are available.
