The Story Behind the Art
This original pen-and-ink drawing was inspired by a photo I took of my beloved Doberman Jake, with his young daughter April. When that photo was taken Jake was 10 years old and April was 10 months old. They adored each other.
Jake took his role as a teacher very seriously, showing April all the things a good Doberman needs to know. April worshiped the ground her daddy walked on.
